My Favorite Supplements for Protein, Cellular Hydration + Collagen

Hi beauties! 


It’s been a minute since I have written/shared a blog with you all. Balancing mom life and work has been a learning curve for sure. 


I wanted to shift from Aesthetics for a minute and focus on the Health and Wellness aspect of Glo. Many of you see me for medical weight loss (GLP 1’s), body scans, vitamin boosters and/or bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. When in, you often ask what supplements I use, what I prefer and if I have personal recommendations. 


Specifically when on GLP 1, it is SOOOOOO, so, so important that you are fueling your body with protein to support your muscle function. We want you to lose fat, not muscle! It is imperative to use resistance in your daily activities/routines but also to ensure that you are getting enough protein throughout the day. I REPEAT - YOU MUST EAT(PROTEIN)! Specifically when on a GLP 1, besides the hunger noise, it sometimes can cancel out “all noise”; i.e. it makes you not even thirsty. When some of you come in and tell me you are tired, have headaches, feel sluggish - that is my first question, are you staying properly hydrated, taking the supplements your body needs, are you eating enough?

Your gut is your home to your immune system, hormone metabolism, and MORE! NOURISH IT! Ways that you can do this?


  • Plant Diversity (fruits, veggies, herbs, nuts, seeds, legumes, whole grains)

  • Fermented Foods (sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurt, kefir, miso)

  • Prebiotic Fibers (onions, garlic, leeks, artichokes, asparagus, bananas)

  • Plenty of Water 

  • Supplements as needed 



So, with that being said - I thought I’d share a few hacks and what I am currently using right now that I LOVE  and that help me to feel my best!


Hack 1: AM Protein Stacking


If your goal is at least 30 grams of protein 3x/day - why not get a huge amount of that out of the way first thing?


Mix 1 serving of greek yogurt which is approximately 17 gm of protein + 1 scoop of triple boost protein powder which is 21 grams of protein powder, put your favorite granola, fruit, scoop of nut butter, flax, hemp seeds etc on top and voila! That’s almost 40 grams of protein right there! 


Why did I choose triple boost? First of all, I love the flavor! If any of you know me, for about a year before I was able to get pregnant I struggled with my hormone health. So I was really working to refine my diet and choose supplementation that was geared toward my needs/goals. This product is made to specifically support your hormone health and to help with energy, mental focus, blood sugar balance and reduces inflammation. It is blue because it has Icelandic Blue Spirulina in it, which is a nutrient-dense superfood that is rich in B12, antioxidants, and amino acids that help with immune support, energy and detoxification. The way that it is made - the b12 absorbs into your system easier/better than most oral supplementation. It also has 9 essential amino acids (BCAAs) in it that help with muscle recovery and digestion as well as omegas and fiber! These are all things we need to function and feel our best.

Hack 2: Hydrate + Detox in Your Water


If you have seen me in office you have heard me recommend not just an increase in your daily water intake, but also to make sure you are getting electrolytes in your water to aid your body during your weight loss journey. I use Hydrate + Detox and there are several reasons why. I used to use LMNT a lot or Liquid IV, but the benefits of this supplement cannot be beat. Let me explain: It is not just an electrolyte replacement, it has a mix of pre and probiotics, digestive enzymes and antioxidants like L-Glutathione. It is formulated with a blend of Sea Salt, electrolytes, and Magnesium Citrate- which quenches your skin’s thirst and is a clean way to hydrate and detox your body every day. I will be honest - I don’t love the taste 100%.
